The Albanian government is negotiating with the Trans Adriatic Pipeline
to obtain as much profits as Greece from the most important investment
of the past 20 years in our country. The Minister of Energy, Damian
Gjiknuri, said that the first negotiation points are tax profits.

The Minister says they are negotiating with suppliers for securing enough gas to be used for the industry and citizen needs.

“We are negotiating for one supply gate in Fier, Korce and Bilisht”, the Minister said.

TAP will transport natural gas from Azerbaijan, by reducing this way the European dependency on Russian gas. It will start in the border between Turkey and Greece, will go through Greece for 550 km and Albania for 215 KM, then will be connected with Italy through underwater pipelines, and then will be distributed to Western Europe.
