A great quantity of “Solar”, a fuel ingredient, was spilled in the beach of Zvernec, near Vlore, causing a great pollution of this coastline.
The spill happened during an operation for uploading a ship with “solar” that was taken from the Mezini Well. The quantity of this substance that was spilled in the water must be around one ton. The incident might have occurred dye to a crack in the transportation pipes or by any mistake during the upload process into the ship that is still at sea.
The “solar” stain was brought to shore by the currents, creating a long polluted line in Zvernec beach. The pollution has made the holiday makers leave the place.
The Bay of Vlore is an area where the sea water takes a long time to get cleaned, and such pollutions remain for a long time, although in such cases, the cleaning process is made through a mechanical way.
