Xhakja, in prison until trial

The suspect was brought under strong security measures to the Court of Serious Crimes.

The trial was held behind closed doors, since the investigations are undergoing. Police is still looking for the second person that was involved in the conflict that left the Chief of Shijak Police dead.

After the trial, Xhakja was sent to prison 313 in Tirana, where he will stay until the investigations will be over.
 
HCJ inspects Court

The High Council of Justice sent an inspection team to the Durres Court to investigate the trial and verdict given by Judge Neritan Tabaku.

The decision taken by judges Tabaku, Gjura and Hysi has released Xhakja for murder charges, arguing that there was no evidence.

The same judge panel has suspended the case as regards the arm possession charges, which released Xhakja immediately. After the HCJ, the Supreme State Audit, as an independent institution, started verifying the trial of held at the Supreme Court and the Durres Court against the person who has allegedly killed the Chief of the Shijaku Police.
