The government says that they have planned fiscal facilities for 2018, in order to bring more foreign investments.
The Minister of State for Protecting Enterprises, Sonila Qato, says that undeveloped potentials need to turn into a priority.
“We invite all Italian entrepreneurs in our country to invest their financial and economic capitals to make it easier for their operations in our country”, Qato declared.
However, Albania has also foreign investors who have been operating for years.
“The best instrument to attract other investors is to offer better treatment for the ones who are already there. Because the new ones will ask around how it is to make business in Albania”, said Silvio Petrazzi, Italian businessman.
The difficulties foreign investors meet in Albania were verified by the World Bank as well. Albania was listed 65th in the world for the business climate in 2018, losing this way seven spots.
Although Albania’s ranking for doing business is positive, there are other factors that make it difficult for the business climate, such as the difficulty to receive permits, property ownership issues, connection with the electricity network and tax payment.
For these factors, Albania is listed below the 100th country in the world.
