“The woman’s marathon for increasing their participation in decision
making”, an activity realized by the Ad Hoc Coalition for the Electoral
Reform throughout Albania has arrived in Gjirokaster.
Hundreds of citizens joined the initiative that aims to increase the attention towards women’s participation in politics.
The citizens expressed their opinions on why more women are needed in politics. Among these suggestions stood out the fact that: women are half of the population and they deserve to be part of the leadership. The organizers say that there were many men who participated and gave their signatures.
The documents collected in all cities, including Gjirokaster, will be all gathered in Tirana for being part of a giant book that will be handed over to the party leaders and the Parliament.
