The OSCE Ambassador, Eugen Wolfarth declared this Monday that he hopes that
the Albanian politics will find the consensus for the candidate for
President.
He valued the consensus found between the majority and opposition for electing the Ombudsman, Igli Totozani, and declared that the President should be chosen in a similar way.
After a meeting with the Ombudsman, Wollfarth said for the journalists that the year has just begun and the President will be elected on July.
“The Constitution is there, and there is enough time for discussing it. But the election of the Ombudsman through consensus and with 127 votes is a very big step for the Albanain citizens and the EU integration”, the OSCE ambassador declared after meeting Totozani.
