The Head of the OSCE presence in Tirana, Eugen Wollfarth, declared that
the new Albanian President should be elected with the consensus of both
parties, and it should be a figure that is accepted by the people.
Wolfarth expressed his opinion about the President’s election during an OSCE activity that was held today in Durres.
“It is up to the Albanians to elect the name of the new President, but this post has a high moral power and I think that this the most important quality. The names should also be presented within the given deadline”, Wollfarth declared.
During his speech, Wollfarth commented the recent meeting of 23 political parties for the electoral reform.
“This is the time to end the electoral reform. Based on this fact, the stances of the smaller political parties should be taken in consideration”, the OSCE Ambassador in Albania declared.
