Withers: Nothing stops Albania’s aspirations

The former US Ambassador, John L.Withers, says that the 100th anniversary of independence is very important for Albania.
In an interview for VOA, Withers says that he is looking forward to celebrate this anniversary in our country.
“I am looking forward to go to Albania on the 100th year of independence. 100 years ago, Ismail Qemali pushed forward the awareness of being Albanian. Today Albania is on the verge of a new rebirth”, Withers declared.
The former US diplomat declared that Albania is facing a series of problems today, but he underlined that he believes that the country will progress.
“Despite the difficulties, nothing can stop Albania’s aspirations. The challenges that Albania faces are several, but I am optimistic for their future”, Withers declared.
