Emergency authorities reported today that the fire in Qafë Malin, Fushë Arrëz in northern Albania, is endangering some of the local houses. The flames in the village of Srriqe are now approaching the the village of Armiraj.
The Dutch helicopter is operating from the air, while the Armed Forces and employees of the local administrative units are working from the ground, the Ministry of Defense announces.
In the village of Flet, in Fushë-Arrëz, the fire continues with low intensity and its perimeter is under control.
The fire in the village of Thirrë in Mirdita, is also reported under control.
Most problematic is the situation in Fushë Kumulli e Qershizë. Special Forces and firefighters are working in the area.
In Dibër, administrative unit of Selishtë, Qafë Murrë and Kaçni, the fires are isolated.
In the municipality of Himara, the fire in the location called “Përroi i Vishnjës”, continues to be active. The terrain there is difficult and does not allow intervention from the ground.
