Weightlifters Daniel Godelli, Romela Begaj and Hysen Pulaku have
received serious punishments from the International Weightlifting
Federation.
Godelli and Begaj have been suspended with two years, while Pulaku with eight years.
Godelli, Begaj and Pulaku resulted positive with the antidoping tests after the World Championship in Kazakhstan. They resulted positive even in test B.
The three Albanian weightlifters were found with a presence of Stanozol, a substance that is used on animals and humans for increasing muscle masses.
Godelli was the first weightlifter to win the world champion title with the Albanian flag, but now it will be removed.
