Erkand Qerimaj was declared European Champion for the 77 kg weight at the European Championship held in Anatolia, Turkey.
Qerimaj was second in Snatch, with 158 kg, and first in clean and jerk, with 190 kg, taking the golden medal in the two-race competition.
The other Albanian weightlifter, Hysen Pulaku, was ranked sixth with 336 kg in two-race competition.
Yesterday, a suspicious judge decision left the Albanian weightlifting sportswoman without the European Champion title in two-race competition, but thanks to a perfect race, she was declared second in this category and Champion of Europe in Snatch.
