The representative of the World Bank in Albania, Maryam Salim, joined the initiative for planting trees at the Farka Lake.

“This is why people want to come to Tirana and Albania. This is the vision they want to see, when you think to attract investors, and the right mentality to become part of the EU. This is the vision they want to see, this is the reason why you are portrayed on The Economist, and this is why people want to visit the city”, Salim Said, as  she planted trees with the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, and representatives of the International Finance Corporation.

The Mayor of Tirana thanked the WB and IFC for their contribution in Albania and the trees they have donated for Tirana.

“This is not something that you can do alone. I thank the IFC and WB, as big development operators in Albania, who assist also with long-term investments in the environment “, Veliaj said.

The Mayor said that whoever helps with the green areas, invests for the future of the city.
