History has repeated itself in the country, as heavy floods were caused after the continuous rainfall of the last days.
Only in the region of Durrës it is learned that 410 hectares of agricultural land have been flooded and the water level has reached 3 meters.
In addition to the pandemic situation and the consequences of the earthquake in these areas, another problem of concern is the outflow of the river Ishëm that has frightened residents, as water has reportedly flooded their homes.
“Water has entered our basement. We can not stand it anymore, no one is helping us. We are alone in this”, say the residents.
Fortunately, when the rain stops the water level drops and goes away from the dwellings, but the situation is predicted to worsen as long as the rainy weather is expected to continue. “Here we can only move by boat. This problem is 30 years old. It cannot be done without repairing the discharge canals.”
