The Albanian Energy Corporation has opened the doors of the biggest
hydropower plants in the Drin cascade. After Fierza, the Vau I Dejes is
discharging the excessive water.
The gates were open this Saturday and only today were seen the first signs that there might be floods in the Nenshkoder area.
This is taking place in the symbolic village of floods in Shkoder, in Obot, where waters have already taken the fields this morning.
There are dozens of parcels flooded, but the water is still far from residences. However, the excessive water of the Buna River has left the resident fearing another flood, equal to that of five years ago.
The good news is that the lower temperatures have interrupted precipitations on the Drin cascade, which means that the water flowing today is less than a few days ago.
