“We no longer control the territory of Kosovo and we must understand this. This is a result of our bad politics in 2004 and 2008. We remind that in 1999 we were defeated by the biggest world powers”, said the President of Serbia in an interview for Kurir, adding that the solution of the Kosovo issue is not easy.
He added that Serbia has a rational policy and that he personally defends the independent policy of Serbia.
As for Kosovo’s UN accession, Vucic said he doesn’t want to comment it and that he will wait to see what the “historic agreement” will actually include.
“I always speak about peace and stability in the country and the region. I hope we find a solution about Kosovo, even if the solution is my ending in politics”, he said.
When asked why he thinks it will his end in politics, Vucic said that Serbs are such and that they will not forgive their future and their peace.
“I am sure that the decision for Kosovo will make no sense. But if you think that tomorrow I will say that Kosovo is independent, I am not ready for that”, he said.
