After the arrest of the former Minister of Interior, Mitko Cavkov, the VMRO-DPMNE reacted and considered the operation as an effort to silence the opposition.

“The police entered the homes of former officials and public personalities, by order of Zoran Zaev, ignoring the immunity of MPs”, says the first reaction of VMRO after the arrest.

The former Minister of Interior and three other VMRO MPs and officials were arrested for allowing and participating the violence in Macedonia’s Parliament this April, which left Albanian MP Ziadin Sela and now Prime Minister Zoran Zaev injured.

Gruevski’s party invited supporters to protest in front of the Skopje Court, according to Indeksi Online.
