After “Lungomare”, the government’s “Urban Revival” plan will move to the historic center of Vlore.
Rama inaugurated the start of these construction works, a cooperation investment between the Albanian government and the American-Albanian Fund.
Rama said that this project will transform Vlora’s historic center and will turn into an added value for tourists and residents as well.
“This area has a lot of history, but it is hidden behind ruins and oblivion that has lasted for many years. We believe that there has been an extraordinary potential here for another important impulse, not only for preserving the remaining values, but also for giving an extraordinary push to economy and tourism in this city. This will continue the transformation that we have started and that we will continue with persistence, turning Clore from a city without a development inertia, to a point of reference for the Albania that we want”, Rama declared.
The project includes the restoration of the house of Marigo, the Tabaku Mosque, the Jewish Road, the Clock Square and the Government House.
The project will cost 11 million EUR, 4 million of which will be funded by the Albanian-American Fund and 7 million EUR from the government.
