Vlore, one dead in explosion

One person lost his life and three others were wounded from an explosion that blew off a moving car at the Skela area, in Vlore.

The investigations show that a considerable amount of explosive was put under the seat of the driver, the 50 year old Renato Abazi. The explosion has caused fatal damages to the driver and left the other passengers severely injured.

The wounded are: Genci Sulejmani, 25 year old, Mevlan Bani 34 year old and a 10 year old boy that luckily is out of danger for life.

The explosion took place some minutes past 10:00 near the roundabout of the Skela square. The car with Italian plates was moving at the moment of the explosion, and its force has damaged other vehicles on the road.

Passerby witnesses rushed to pull the wounded persons out of the destroyed vehicle, except of the driver, whose body was too much damaged. Some seconds after the explosion, the vehicle has taken fire, which was later put out by the firefighters. The injured people were sent at the hospital, while the victim has been identified on the crime scene.

According to the police, this explosion was caused by a considerable amount of dynamite triggered by a cell phone, which was placed under the driver seat. The police found 200 grams of unexploded dynamite near the scene, and thinks that also other ammunitions were hid inside the car, based on constant explosions that continued during the fire.
