Six of the 110 oil workers in Vlore have started a hunger strike after they were fired due to a reformation.
The workers are asking payment for one year, according the Labor Code, by declaring that they are not against the reform.
The strikers say that the decision for their release from duties has violated the Code of Labor. They say that they have sent a letter to the President, the Prime Minister, the Ombudsman and the Minister of Energy, but none of these institutions has replied to them.
The workers have also asked a meeting with the administrator of their enterprise, which has been taken by Stream. But despite their request, there has been no answer.
