The family members of the January 9th sea tragedy held a ceremony in the city of Vlore, in honor of their late relatives.
After the ceremony that was held in the Uji i Ftohte area, the family members went to the seashore, where they held their annual ritual by throwing flowers in the Ionian Sea.
The family members expressed their indignation for the justice system, which has been unable to shed light on this tragedy, even after eight years.
On January 9th 2004, a motorboat with 36 clandestine sailed to Italy, from Palasa Bay. The tragedy ended with 20 dead and 8 disappeared, all victims from the Shkoder Area, 15 to 33 years old.
