The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Romana Vlahutin, inspected the works of
three major projects funded by the EU in Vlore, with a total value of 47
million EUR.
Vlahutin said she hopes that the “lungomare” and the Vlore bypass will finish before summer.
“The canalization project is going well. We hope that the others will be over before summer. The bypass is very important for southern Albania. We talked to the people working with these projects, to learn the real dates of completion”, Vlahutin said.
The EU delegation was received by the Vlora Mayor, Dritan Leli, in a 40-minute meeting behind closed doors. Leli said that the “Lungomare” will be a new image for Vlore.
