Video/The Special Unit for Wanted Persons

The Deputy Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari and the Director of the Criminal Police Department, Tonin Vocaj visited the Special Investigation Unit that was introduced last week in Poland, aiming to join the ENFAST Network, the European network for Wanted Persons.

This is the newest Police special unit for identifying, tracking and capturing the most dangerous elements.

This unit consists of two components: the Intelligence component, tasked with collecting information (with a contact point working 24/7), and which works intensively with counterpart agencies at European level; and the Operating Unit, which serves to the Intelligent Unit in order to execute arrest warrants for the most dangerous persons.

“They have excellent training and meet all conditions and parameters to operate the same as counterpart units in EU countries”, said Deputy Minister Lamallari.
