One day after the government officially warned that they would execute
the 85 million EUR guarantee of the Albpetrol offer, since the Vetro
Energy failed to fulfil the conditions according to the legal deadlines,
the company has reacted.
Vetro declared through a press release that they are ready to give the 20% guarantee, although they think that there is still a lot to be done regarding the agreement, and such a guarantee should be paid after a formal agreement is signed for the sale of Albpetrol.
Rezart Taci, who owns the majority package of Vetro Energy, declared that he asked a series of documents from the government for the privatization, while the government has asked a guarantee for the agreement. Vetro says that they will give it within a few days. Taci says that these are complex negotiations and there are still many details to be covered. He trusts that together with the government, Vetro will finalize the negotiations and soon will reach a successful transaction.
