The citizens of Vermosh are isolated due to the snow and ice. The road that connects the 1000 residents of the farthest northern area is treacherous and long during summer, but now it can be crossed only on foot, for six hours.

The Vermosh residents say that the situation is alarming and that they are without electrical power, without doctors, phone service and food reserves. The entire Vermosh area and the Lepushe village, with around 10.000 resident, are completely isolated from the other part of the country. Every vital purchase is made in the Montenegrin territory of Plave and Guci.

The first icy roads are seen near Selca and Qafa Bordolec. It is impossible for the cars to cross this road, even with tire chains. The buildings that once served for collecting food reserves for the Kelmend area, near the Selce village, today have been abandoned.

The Vermosh road is still very damaged. The road Shkoder-Vermosh takes 5 long hours in a 110 km road. Whoever decided to meet the Vermosh mountains understands that these people have to win a harsh battle with winter.
