Veliaj thanks voters and ballot counters

After the polling stations were officially closed, the Alliance for
European Albania candidate for Tirana, Erion Veliaj, thanked everyone
who voted him today.

“Thank you to all of you who voted and expressed your will as citizens to take Tirana in the right direction. I am especially grateful to the ballot counters who will administer tonight our victory”, Veliaj declared.

Veliaj’s reaction comes a few minutes after that of his rival, Halim Kosova, who also claimed victory in Tirana after a press release from the Democratic Party HQ.
