The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, declared from the “Kosova” school, (which was rebuilt on the same terrain of the older building, three times bigger) that by voting the Socialist Party, the citizens of Tirana saw their city undergo a radical change, and the country gained a law that bans betting shops and casinos.
Veliaj said that in Tirana only, the money managed by betting shops and casinos was larger than the entire budget of the city. “Now families will have more money, money that are currently going as profits to three or four criminals”, Veliaj declared.
The Mayor appreciated the parliament’s decision to make way for the construction of a new theater building and asked citizens to offer massive support in the local elections, so that this transformation pace doesn’t stop.
The Mayor listed the schools and other infrastructure projects at the Municipal Unit 2, which have been recently reconstructed.
