The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, declared that the internship period at the Tirana Municipality will double, from 3 months to 6, and interns will be paid.
“It is time to not only make the internship longer but also to pay the interns. We have started a project for intern students in private companies. We are ready to implement this to the Tirana Municipality as well, offering compensation so that it is easier for the next generation of students”, Veliaj declared.
The Mayor said that this idea, which five years ago seemed unimaginable, has given the first results. He encouraged other municipalities to support the project that gives young students new precious experiences for future jobs.
