The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, accompanied by the Mufti of Tirana, Ylli Gurra, inspected the construction works at the Namazgha Mosque, which is about to be complete.
Veliaj said that the construction of the mosque is important not only for Muslim devotees, but also as a gem for the city.
“I am happy that we inspected such a useful construction. Having a bigger house of God for religious services brings Tirana a new gem, more solidarity to the community”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor said that the building also attracts foreign tourists, who will be able to visit in just 1 square kilometer the religious temples of Muslim, Orthodox and Catholic devotees.
Veliaj said that the underground parking of the mosque, and the one at the former playground, will make it easier for vehicles in the Elbasan Road.
