The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, thanked all of the fire fighters who
gave maximal efforts to face the fire situation, some of which were lit
intentionally.
Veliaj announced that firefighters will receive a bonus payment for their efforts, and declared that intentional fires will not be tolerated any longer.
“Compensation is not enough. We need to arrest the ones who burned public property as if it was some kind of sport”, Veliaj underlined.
