The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, received a message from Pope
Benedict XVI for the 45th International Day of Peace, which will be
celebrated on January 1st 2012.
The message was sent to the head of the Albanian state by Archibishop Ramiro Moliner Ingles.
“The beginning of the New Year, a gift of God for the humanity, encourages me to adress to everyone, with faith and great love, a special wishing for the time that we have ahead, so that it can be marked by justice and peace”, the Vatican message says.
The Pope addresses to the young generations, with the message of a perspective in education, and with the conviction that they, with their enthusiasm and idealism, could offer a new hope for the world.
Pope Benedict XVI closes his message by expressing to President Topi the best wishes for peace and progress for 2012, in which Albania will celebrate the 100th independence anniversary.
