A decision entered in act today that equalizes VAT for sale and
purchases in agricultural products. The Minister of Agriculture, Edmond
Panariti, asked farmers to keep the bills for every transaction they
make, since there are no more reasons for penalizations.
“The Albanian agricultural products will be traded, exported and gathered with a 14% lower cost, which enables them to compete with imported goods”, the Minister declared.
According to Minister Panariti, this is a very important measure, since this reduction goes as profit to producers, farmers, gatherers, distributers and exporters.
Panariti declared that after the VAT removal, there will be more registered companies, giving an European look to the Albanian agriculture.
Panariti underlined that agricultural exports increased with 10% by the end of June, compared to the same period of one year ago.
