The White House Security Adviser, John Bolton, said this Friday in Kiev that Washington will not get involved with the idea for territory exchange between Kosovo and Serbia.

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, and his Serbian counterpart, Alexandar Vucic, have brought different ideas for concluding the process of normalizing relations between both countries.

The Serbian President brought the idea to divide Albanians from Serbs, while Thaci spoke about correcting borders with Serbia, with Kosovo taking the Presheva Valley. But Kosovo’s main allies did not support these ideas.

Great Britain and Germany were against it. Merkel has reiterated that there should be no border changes in Balkan.

Thaci’s theory did not receive support in Kosovo, while Vucic’s ideas are considered as not realizable, although he said he would bring a new plan this September.
