The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Thomas Countryman confirmed
that his country strongly supports the sovereignty of Kosovo, and he
underlined that the roadblocks set up by Serbs should be removed.
In an interview for RTK, Countryman repeated the stance of the United States of America that Kosovo division will never take place, although some Serbian politicians would prefer it. He expressed the concern of Washington regarding the latest developments in Northern Kosovo.
Furthermore, Countryman declared that USA supports the extension of Kosovo authority in the entire territory. As for the mutual embargo, Countryman declared that these actions are illegal
