The US Embassy posted a status on Facebook in which they greeted the
Justice Reform Commission for passing the Constitutional Draft-Amends.
They appeal once again for consensus on the points the parties don’t
agree yet.
“We encourage the dialogue between the government and the opposition to resolve the final case for which they have disagreements. We encourage all Parliament members to vote in favor of this reform. One vote for this reform is one vote towards Albania’s progress with the EU integration and towards a stronger Euro-Atlantic future”, the US Embassy writes.
The Embassy considers the decision taken today by the Justice Reform Commission as an important step towards the full approval of the reform in Albania’s justice system.
“The USA welcome the decision of the Special Parliamentary Commission for the Justice Reform. This is an important step for the full passing of a significant reform for the justice system in Albania. The package has the full support of the USA and the EU”, the Embassy’s reaction says.
