US support for the energy sector, Gjiknuri meets Dunningan

The Minister of Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri, met with the US Deputy Secretary of Energy Diplomacy, robin Dunningan.

She confirmed the interest of US companies to get closer to the potentials of Albania in the fuel area. Gjiknuri thanked the US for helping the energy sector through USAID.

Gjiknuri mentioned the importance of the of the Southern Gas Corridor for Albania and for the entire Western Balkan. Within a few days, according to the Minister, TAP will start working in terrain for the Southern Gas Corridor Pipeline.

Mr.Dunningan declared that this project is very important for the US. He confirmed the support for any possible branching of the IAP pipeline and also with the gasification of Albania.
