A few hours before the start of the Monday afternoon protest called by the Albanian DP opposition, the American embassy in Tirana called on citizens to avoid the demonstration.
The embassy writes that its personnel have been advised to avoid the demonstration, while urging American citizens to monitor local media and follow the instructions of local law enforcement authorities for the latest information.

Location of the protest: Deshmoret e Kombit Boulevard, between Skënderbej Square and Mother Teresa Square
Event: A demonstration is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 7. Protesters plan to gather at the Prime Minister’s Office at 18:00. Increased police presence, road closures and traffic disruptions are expected. The Albanian State Police has advised that protesters may block intersections in various parts of the city of Tirana.
