US Ambassador meets opposition leader

US Ambassador, Donald Lu, met with the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha,
on the day same day when the latter is supposed to meet with Prime
Minister Edi Rama.

Although Basha says he will find common ground with his adversary for the justice reform, by using the Electoral Reform as condition, the staffs of both parties have been unable to find an agreement about the meeting agenda.

Sources from the Prime Minister’s Office say for Top Channel that they are waiting to coordinate their agenda with Basha’s, for the last details. These details include the meeting format and the number of people that will accompany Rama and Basha.

Even the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State, Victoria Nuland, has held two phone conversations with Lulzim Basha and the Democratic Party recently.
