US Ambassador, Donald Lu: “A privilege to work in Tirana”

The new ambassador of the United States of America to Tirana, Donald Lu,
arrived this Sunday in our country together with his family. He was
welcomed at the airport by the Embassy staff.
Six security officers and the Chief of Public Relations, Valerie O’Brien, accompanied by one Albanian and one American associate, arrived at the Tirana International Airport, “Mother Theresa”, 60 minutes before his airplane landed.
To welcome the man who will be in charge of the US diplomatic mission, arrived in Tirana the second person in charge of the US Embassy, Henry V Jardine, who was the first person to shake hands with Mr.Donald Lu.
The Ambassador declared for Top Channel: “Is a huge privilege to be in the land of eagles. I and my family are keen to get to know more of you and of your wonderful country”.
The motorcade went to the capital, where Mr.Donald Lu will find a polarized political environment. He will also have to face the discontent of the right wing with the declarations of his predecessor, Alexander Arvizu, or with the dissatisfaction of the left wing when Mr.Arvizu called Berisha a “man of state”.
Two days before his arrival in Tirana, the US Embassy published a video message presenting the US Ambassador in a new and unique method.
The career of Mr.Lu staretd in 1990, in Pakistan, India, Georgia, Kyrgistan, Azerbaijan and Washington.
