Urban plan for Himara

The National Council of Territories approved the Himara Urban Plan,
which, according to the Prime Minister, will multiply the tourist
potential of this area with three times.

“Time for local plans has come, and I am glad that it is starting with Himara, which has a great tourist potential, as the plan shows. Its potential could be tripled. The local authorities, with the government’s support, have created the plan carefully. I invite all communes to follow the same example, so that tourism can see new dimensions”, Berisha declared.

The Council of Territories approved the permits for the roads that will be used for the construction of two oil wells by Petromanas Company.

“The contractual obligation of the company is to open two wells for 2012 at the Shpirag area, Mbreshtan village, and another at the Shkoder area, near Guri i Zi. The investment of this company for both wells, from the research well and the final tests, mounts up to 48 million USD”, the experts declared.

The Prime Minister did not forget to politicize the meeting, reminding that one of the wells coincides with the place of origin of two important political figures, one of which is his biggest adversary and the other is a member of the cabinet he leads.

“This well will be opened in the village of Edi Rama, which I have visited twice and their well known son has never visited. According to Sokol Olldashi, who also is from Mbreshtan, he denies his origin”, Berisha declared.

The National Council of Territories approved a series of other decisions, such as the Lushnje Urban Plan and the construction permits for some hydro-power plants, among which are the Zalli i Okshtunit, which the opposition reported as concessions profitted by people who have connections with the Minister of Integration.
