University, manipulation with vacancies

This is what dozens of parents have reported in the Rectorate of the Tirana University. They say that the empty quotas of important faculties such as Medicine, Economic, Law and Social Sciences have disappeared, and these quotas were added to other faculties.

“A great concern for dozens of parents and students who have come at the Rectorate, is that although there are empty quotas after the last student accepted, the next student cannot register, because the Ministry of Education has removed these quotas to other faculties that are less preferred”, declared Ervin Demo, Communication Director for the Rectorate.

The rectorate confirms that it is this first time that they see something like this, which is a violation of the students’ rights. According to the data, these students are very prepared and with high average grades.

“The biggest problem is that there are being excluded students that have good results, and this is unacceptable and unjust for the students”, he says.
