Two ladies are running for Dean of the Filology and History faculty, Valentina Duka and Dhurata Shehri.
Duka promise to progress even more with what has been achieved so far.
“I can make use of every possible legal opportunity for increasing the quality of teaching and academic work in this faculty. I addressed to my colleagues and I will make everything possible for them to be well-paid and to have their project supported. I will try to open this institution even more with European projects, and vitalize even further our contacts with the external world and with our academic work”, Duka said.
Shehri promises more democracy in leadership and bringing the faculty out of isolation.
“The idea is to break the inertia of what has happened before, and to achieve the highest point of development, the scientific research, the democratization and management of the faculty. One important matter is to not go towards a hierarchy in which one person decides for everyone, but towards democratization. Transparency in total and in decision-making will be one of the biggest points that I will push during my program. Part of my plan is the building of a true international conference, the building of a scientific bulletin, with an editorial board and with a leading board to the level of the faculty”, Shehri said.
The candidates will be voted by students and professors on Wednesday, April 20th.
