Two die in Shkoder robbery attempt

A grave tragedy took place at 4 am this morning in Hot i Ri, Shkoder,
where the house owner was killed and his brother was seriously wounded.
Some people tried to rob the family of Zef Markaj, who also was leader of the Republican Party for the commune.
One of the intruders also remained killed. Police says had a criminal history for breaking in and burglary.
Preliminary investigations show that the house owner had noticed the robbers and together with his brother, Gjon Markaj, he tried to fight them off. Two people died in the fire exchange, and one was wounded.
Other persons who were part of the crime have been able to leave. Police has not been able to identify and arrest them.
The commotion has lasted several minutes and created panic and terror in the area.
