Two people were arrested at 19:00 at the Zharre commune, Fier, as the
authors of the spill of 1.000 tons of crude oil from the Bankers
Petroleum Company.

The Fier Police declared that Kastriot Beluli and Gentian Asllani, 45 and 38 years old, are charged of property destruction and for organizing illegal gatherings.

In cooperation with each other, the defendants have opened the oil depots and have spilled a considerable amount of crude oil. They also blocked the Fier-Roskovec national road.

Police declared that the 11 other people of this village are being prosecuted while free. The materials will pass to the Fier prosecution.

After three earthquakes in the early morning hours, the Zharre residents attacked the oil depots of the Canadian Company. They thought that the ground movements were caused by the Company, while the Geophysics Institution has recorded earthquakes in Roskovec and Dukas.
