The EU remains committed to help Western Balkan and follow its promises,
says the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, in a letter
sent to the member countries before the Council meeting of this
Thursday.
“We will take a closer look to the situation in the region, which is very delicate. We will see ways how to increase defense and security level in Europe”, Tusk writes.
The meeting will focus on the election of the European Council President for the June 2017-November 2019 period.
They will also discuss topics such as immigration, economy and the possibility to create an EU Public Prosecution Office.
One day before this meeting, the head of states will have a non-official meeting for discussing preparations of the 60th anniversary of the Rome Treaty.
