Turkish President Erdogan congratulates Ilir Meta after voted President of Albania

Erdogan gave hois message through a phone conversation with Ilir Meta, whom he thanked for the contribution as Parliament Speaker in the process of improving relations between both countries.

“I want to thank you for your contribution as Parliament Speaker, in the efforts to improve the relations between our countries”, Turkish President said, who also invited Meta on an official visit in Turkey.

Meta expressed his trust that the cooperation between Albania and Greece will increase.

“The region is facing huge challenges of stability and security, which require responsibility and dedication. The friendship between Albania and Turkey is important for the entire region. We must reinforce the traditional relations between both countries. It would serve to the regional security and fight against terrorism”, said the voted Albanian President, Ilir Meta.
