The defendant Lavderim Tufa, accused for tipple murder, among which
Fatmir Rama (Miri i Xhikes), is returning to the court room for one of
the most sensible sessions that might find him innocent.
The genetics experts led by Grigor Zoraqi, director of the Genetic
Research Center, declared to the court the conclusions on Lavderim Tufa’s DNA. The test performed in 2003 in Italy by an Italian
specialist says that Tufa’s DNA has a consistency of 90%. Genetics
professor Vahe Mokini declared for the court that the consistency in
Europe for incriminating a person is between 99.97%, while the FBI has it
at 99.99%.
Experts unanimously declared that the tests performed on the prosecution’s only proof, a hair found after the event, the defendant is exonerated, since he doesn’t have a full genetic profile.
