Lavderim Tufa was found guilty by the Court of Tirana even in the
retrial. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison, charged with
cooperation for the murder of three persons, among them Fatmir Rama,
known as “Miri i Xhikes”.

The DNA sample that was found in a ski mask used for the murder resulted valid, according to the court. The court valued it as a sufficient evidence for proving that Tufa had helped in the murder of Fatmir Rama, with the participation of two other killers, according to eye witnesses.

The Court sentenced Tufa for helping in the murder. The eye witness, who had also returned fire with a gun by wounding one of the killers, denied of having seen Tufa on the scene, a proof that was taken in consideration by the court and reduced the sentence to 20 years.

Tufa was arrested by the Police six months after the murder of Fatmir Rama and his two friends in Tirana, on 30 March 2003. Tufa has never admitted the crime.
