Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Police had undertaken an operation after receiving information that some individuals were trafficking arms.
They established a roadblock at the location, and called the suspects to stop. Chief Musa Skura had a physical confrontation with defendant Fitim Alla, 18, the only armed person. Alla fired his weapon and there’s where the Chief was severely wounded.
This is the dynamic of the events, as described by the Prosecution at the Court of Serious Crimes in the hearing session against the four defendants. Only one of them is answering on one attempted murder count. The three others, with the youngest of them only 15, will answer for illegal possession of ammunition.
The Prosecution declared that the ammunition was found a few meters from the incident scene. Alla gave no declaration in Court, and the judge left him in prison.
In his testimony he tried to justify the crime by saying that he committed the act under the influence of alcohol.
The lawyers’ request to free the three other suspects, Vilson Milkurti, Edison Lleshi and the 15-year-old boy with initials A.LL was denied.
