The Court of Tirana separated the case of the Energy Corporation (OSHEE)
from the trial against the former Administrator of DIA, Kastriot
Ismailaj, accused of fraud, money laundering and forgery.
Even in this session, the defendant claimed he was sick and did not appear at court, while the process was opened after two failed sessions. The Prosecution insists that Ismailaj has lied during the collection of the CEZ debts, by taking more than 5 million EUR illegally.
The OSHEE tried to join this battle, requesting a 8 million EUR compensation, but it caused discontent with the OSHEE legal experts.
The Prosecution of Serious Crimes is holding a process for seizing the assets of Ismailaj and his relatives.
