Transparency for the “Blue Block”

The Socialist Party announced what they call a transparency of the high
rank officials’ assets, starting with the government of Prime Minister
Berisha.

“The first thing you notice is the lack of seriousness from Sali Berisha, in his own asset declaration. He has declared a sum of 720 from the diets abroad. But we don’t know if this is in EUR, ALL, USD or any other currency. The Prime Minister is not correct in the simplest thing, his per diem payments. To the total of his benefits and savings of 7.6 million ALL, in this time of crisis, unemployment and poverty, the Prime Minister adds 1 million ALL in cash, without declaring where did this come from”, Balla declared.

While the government is appealing to formalize the economy, the Prime Minister has a sack of money at home that we don’t know where they come from. We know only where they are.

“This is the difference between common Albanians and the ‘blockmen’ that Berisha mentions (referring to the communist leaders who lived in a special ‘Block’, who were called ‘Blockmen’). This is the difference of 95% of the Albanians who suffer the crisis and the members of the Prime Minister’s family, who become richer each day on the people’s back”, Balla underlined.

According to the SP, this transparency aims to show the Albanians the real assets of the newest “Blockmen” of Albania.
